The Landed Entertainments-produced music video for Oriana's single, Addicted, will have it's world premiere on the 2nd floor of the El Mocambo (464 Spadina Avenue @ College Street) this Saturday, August 15 at 9pm. The event will be hosted by comedian, Quinn C. Martin, and will include performances by Oriana and Toronto's own Omar Lunan. Included in the $15 cover charge will be a special DVD containing the music video.

August is packed with events! Packed! Right off the bat, there is a
Film Jam on this Saturday,
August 1st on the second floor of the El Mocambo. This will be a
regular, old fashioned Film Jam with no battle to headline. The lineup
includes: Seventeen and
Change, Myles and
Maneli, R&R, elf tv, Brain Sandwich of
Zion, Castro and
valentin. We'll be screening a film by Kyle Scheib and David
During called Swift Existence
and DJ Dan Haid will be
spinning all night long. Once again, for tickets and more information

On August 15, Oriana
and Landed Entertainments will be hosting the world premiere for her
debut music video: "Addicted". Then, on August 28, the Battle
of the Jams finals will see The Breakdown, Foresight for the
Blind, Blues
Underdog and The
Broadcast all competing for a music video of their own. These
events will also take place on the second floor of the El Mocambo. Look for more updates

The first of the two Film
Jam semi-finals is coming up! On May 29, 2009 at the El Mocambo, The Break Down, Elissa Barclay, Shobha, Foresight for the Blind, and
Baby White will battle it out for
a spot in the finals where one band will win a music video valued at $10,000!
Opening the show will be local hip hop artist, Via Linez, who's single
"Dotted Lines Rap" can be heard on Flow 93.5's Real Frequency show. For tickets and

A couple of weekends ago, the music video for Oriana's single "Addicted" went in
front of cameras. The shoot was smooth and successful, and the footage looks great!
The video was shot on the RED ONE camera,
and will be premiering (in HIGH DEFINITION!) this summer. Listen to "Addicted" on

The next few weeks are going to be insanely busy at Landed Entertainments. Not only is Film Jam 14 taking place on March 27th at the El Mocambo, but a Wild Card Round will also take place a week later on April 3rd! As if THAT wasn't enough, there will be another Laff Jam on April 4th! The first Laff Jam was such a hit and the demand for a second one was so high that we finally decided to book it at The Revue for the 4th of April. R&B singer and winner of the first Battle of the Jams, Oriana, will be shooting the music video for her single "Addicted" in April. "Addicted" is the first single from her new album, "Release", on sale this Spring! The video is being produced in-house at Landed Entertainments under the supervision of Evgeniya Protsko and director Jacob Hanania.

On January 30, 2009, Landed Entertainments will be hosting the thirteenth Film Jam at the El Mocambo. Battle of the Jams 2 will continue as another set of bands duke it out to make the semi-finals this Summer. The first Battle of the Jams ended earlier this year with Oriana taking the top prize. Her music video is currently in pre-production, and a new Battle of the Jams is underway at Film Jam with another $10k music video as top prize. On November 28, 2008 the second round of the new battle begins at the historic El Mocambo. The doors open at 8:00pm and tickets are $10 or $8 with a canned good. The show will be hosted by none other than Skye Collyer and Adam Risbridger. As always we will have art displayed, films, video games and DJ Ear2ear will be spinning on the wheels of steel to keep the party going. As always, proceeds of the show will be going to the Serving Charity to feed the homeless of Toronto. Check out www.thefilmjam.com for more information!

On Sunday, November 9, the very first LAFF JAM will be hosted at the Holiday Inn on 370 King St W (King & Peter). A spinoff of the successful Film Jam, Laff Jam is a venue that highlights the very many, very funny comedians in the Greater Toronto Area. Keep checking the new Events page for more details on the event. The doors for the event open at 8pm on the 9th, and if you'd like tickets they will be $15 at the door. Landed Entertainments began casting for it's next feature film, Fade Out, just over a month ago. Only a single principal role is left to fill. The role of Kelly, who is described as a beautiful and talented actress, still needs to be cast. NEW SHORT FILM

The feature film that initially sent Landed Entertainments into South Korea was the ambitious Antihero, a story set in a world where every inhabitant possesses a unique skill or proficiency. Being a production much larger in scale in comparison to Fade Out, the film is still in it's developmental stages. While the feature film may be a while off, Landed Entertainments has entered preproduction on a short film based within the Antihero worldset titled A Quiet Death. Landed Entertainments' new website is up! It features an updated Projects page, which will include information on some of the company's new feature films that are not only in preproduction but also in the early stages of development. You can also watch the Special Promotional trailer that was created for Landed's next feature, Fade Out. More information on that film, and another project that will be shooting this summer, will be available on the website in the coming weeks.
